form·Z 4.0 is now shipping

AutoDesSys is pleased to announce that form·Z 4.0 started shipping on April 15, 2003. All family plan users and new users that purchased form·Z after April 1, 2002 will receive the update automatically. All other users will need to order it.

form·Z 4.0 is initially released as a gamma version, which will allow for additional public testing before the release of the final v.4.0. When the public testing is completed, AutoDesSys will replace form·Z 4.0 gamma with the final version at no additional cost to its users.

form·Z 4.0 comes with a completely restructured architecture that supports plug-ins and scripts. The release includes three new and optional plug-ins, namely, Sketch Rendering, Point Cloud Re-engineering, and STEP Translator. These are available at a cost. The release of the form·Z API for 3rd party development is expected to come 3-4 months after the release of v. 4.0.
