It is with enthusiasm and pride that AutoDesSys offers the form•Z Joint Study Program to support the 3D education of future designers, in a setting where it partners with universities, colleges, and high schools from around the world in an exchange of ideas and solutions to further facilitate the development of software and the articulation of three dimensional spaces and forms. Each year form•Z is used by thousands of future designers to develop their thinking and skills in 3D. The educators of the classes taught in form•Z are offered the opportunity to nominate the projects they deem most worthy for a Joint Study Award in one of five categories: Architectural Design, Interior Design, Visualization and Illustration, Fabrication, and Animation. Experts or theorists within the field of computer-aided design, and unaffiliated with AutoDesSys, are asked to participate as jurors to grade each of the nominees without disclosing names or institutional affiliations. The projects that earn the highest average scores in each category receive the Joint Study Program Award of Distinction. Projects that score the second-highest grade receive an Honorable Mention. The prizes for the awards of distinction are a form•Z user license and one thousand dollars. The honorable mentions receive an annual academic license. Congratulations to all the winners for the selection of their projects for awards and a job well done, to their instructors for inspiring them to bring out their best and for offering the rest of us the pleasure of delighting in their success.
